FAQ

Answers to the Questions You Ask Most Often

Magaela as a brand has been on the market since 2013, and during that time we have often encountered the same recurring questions. While we are lucky to have loyal fans who know our creations very well, we are also aware that many new people, new brides, and fairies are constantly discovering us. That’s why we decided to prepare this guide for you, in which we answer the questions you most frequently ask us...
The products from Magaela’s workshop are made of textile flowers, which we complement with real preserved materials such as leaves, grasses, eucalyptus, lavender, moss, and more, giving them a lovely fragrance and a natural look rather than an artificial one. The preserved materials help reduce the artificial appearance. Additionally, we use various decorative elements like lace, rhinestones, pearls, and more. A small amount of preserved flowers is also used.
Initially, we spent hours, days, weeks, and months searching for suitable materials, experimenting with many samples and suppliers. Today, we have our trusted warehouses and business partners from whom we obtain flowers, grasses, and leaves. We source materials from literally all over the world and continue exploring new sources. Some flowers we produce ourselves—we modify, dye, and even preserve gypsophila. Many materials are of natural origin—dried moss, twigs, stones. We also use a small amount of preserved flowers.
Our products have a lifespan of 10–15 years and require no special care. Just store them in a dark, dry, well-ventilated place, avoiding moisture and prolonged direct sunlight. We recommend protecting them from chemical products like hairspray. Dust can be gently removed with a dry cloth, and bouquets should never be placed in water. Keep the products away from pests and pets that might nibble on the preserved grasses.

Because we use delicate natural materials, it’s possible that some pieces may fall off during transport or that the bouquet might become slightly compressed. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control. If you find a few loose flowers in the box upon receipt, don’t worry—it won’t happen under normal use and won’t affect the product’s appearance. If the bouquet appears slightly flattened, gently fluff it and place it loosely in a vase—it will soon regain its original shape.
If the bouquet starts to become damp due to improper storage conditions, please contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue.
We carefully pack products in sturdy boxes and protective packaging to guard against moisture and water. Shipments are sent worldwide, using Zásielkovňa (Packeta) for Slovakia and the Czech Republic—either to a pickup point or via courier.
Orders are shipped within up to 14 working days, though during the busy season (March–September), shipping may take up to 21 working days, so it's best not to leave orders until the last minute. Packages are dispatched Monday to Wednesday; on other days only in urgent cases.
Yes, you can pick up your order at our workshop in Bratislava, Petržalka, from Monday to Wednesday. Other days are possible by arrangement. After you place and pay for your order, we will prepare your package within 14–21 days (unless an urgent date is agreed upon) and notify you when it's ready. Then you can call us to schedule a pickup time.
Yes. Products in stock can be returned within 14 days of receipt, without needing to provide a reason. Please contact us via internal messaging before returning the goods. After we receive the package, we will refund you within 14 days. The buyer is responsible for return shipping. Special-order products require individual agreement, and bouquets cannot be returned.

Please do not send packages cash-on-delivery—we reserve the right to refuse them.

If you're simply changing your mind, you have the legal right to return, and we would appreciate your feedback. After contacting us, we’ll provide return instructions. Please send the tracking number so we can expect the package. A refund will be issued within 14 days of receiving the product.
If your product is damaged, write to us describing the issue and, ideally, include photos of the damage. We will then agree on the next steps.
We strive to continuously adapt our regular offerings to your requests and current trends, and they are always available without restriction. If you don’t find what you need in our gallery, custom-made production is possible. Due to high demand, we accept custom orders only for a minimum of €100 during the season (March–September). If our workload is lighter, the minimum order value may differ, and we'll inform you on the site. We value quality over quantity and aim to work responsibly and diligently. Each product is unique handmade art, meaning even regular offerings are one-of-a-kind.
If you're interested in something special, contact us and provide your desired delivery date. For large sets (e.g., for weddings), it's best to reach out at least two months in advance; in general, allow at least one month for the entire process. We’ll then discuss all the details—color, shape, flower composition, size. Please specify everything you want (and don’t want), because the items are handmade and delicate—radical changes may require making a new product. Photo references (e.g., of your dress, hairstyle, decoration, color scheme) are welcome. You'll need to pay a custom production fee, agree to our terms, and we’ll provide a price estimate. Once products are made, we’ll send photos for your approval. If satisfied, we’ll arrange payment and delivery; if not, minor adjustments can be made.
This fee wasn't always required. However, it was introduced after cases where customers commissioned custom products and then disappeared—this way we at least recoup some of the time and costs involved. The fee covers communication, time spent preparing materials and photographing, reserving the production slot, and possible minor adjustments. The amount depends on the expected order value. It is paid in advance and non-refundable.
No. By law, a product made to special specifications for a specific customer is non-refundable. It becomes nearly unsellable. If you're not satisfied, we can adjust or exchange the set (but not refund).
We never make copies, as we respect the copyrights and creations of other artists. You may inspire us with something you found on Instagram, Google, or Pinterest—but we cannot reproduce an identical product. We always put something of ourselves into the final piece.
Absolutely! If something in our regular offer catches your eye, we can create matching accessories in the same design (e.g., a bracelet or boutonnière). This is considered a custom-made product, which cannot be returned—but in this case, no custom fee is required.
